Bastrop Tank Wash was opened on January 2, 2007. The year prior to its opening, I spent negotiating with the City of Bastrop to lease the old Jarrell Transport building in the Coulter Industrial Park. It had been closed for about 8 years and the city was ready to lease it. The facility had been run as a tank wash and trucking company when it original opened in 1992. When we got into the facility we were pleased to find that only minor repairs were required to get it operational. We spent 2 months working on the equipment before we opened the bays to business. One of the first customers we cleaned tanks for was Phoenix Transporters. They really helped us keep our doors open the first year we were in business.
The years have gone by very quickly and our customer list has grown tremendously. It is our goal to provide quality cleaning for each customer. Our wash techs are knowledgeable about chemicals and cleaning and enjoy the challenges that some of our customers bring us. We are able to clean almost everything that is brought to us. However, we advised dispatchers to call us regarding the chemical they need cleaned. We try to keep the wait time for drivers to a minimum, with most drivers able to leave within 1 ½ to 2 hours after filling out paperwork.
